Description
The bright afternoon light awakens a barn owl in this image. The spider contemplates its next meal. - I looked over some owl images before I began this digital painting but used no reference image to construct it. The image involved many impasto paint layres manipulated with the virtual pallet knife to achieve the texture effects. I created over 50 iterations of this before this final result.
